General Information

This interactive data exchange application (IDEA) tool was developed by Applied Pavement Technology, Inc. (APTech) for the Michigan Department of Transportation, Office of Aeronautics. The following describes the requirements and instructions for viewing the contents of the IDEA tool.

Internet Browser Requirements

This IDEA tool is an HTML5-based tool that is designed to be viewed within modern internet browsers supporting HTML5. While it should effectively run in any modern web browser supporting HTML5, development and testing has specifically been completed using these common browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. Note: some of the more recent IDEA features no longer function properly in Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11). Given Microsoft's near end-of-life status for IE 11, IE 11 is no longer a supported browser for the IDEA. If you prefer to use a Microsoft browser as your default browser, please follow Microsoft's recommendation and "migrate to the latest version of Microsoft Edge."
